What's new at Lake Hickory Haunts for 2023? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?

Yes, Lake Hickory Haunts 2023 featuring many all-new attractions, additions, and improvements! First, we've created an ALL-NEW Big Top Circus attraction, now THREE TIMES bigger than before! Now featuring: The Freakshow, FunHouse, and Boss the Clowns' Top Secret Laboratory! (each of these are large enough to be an attraction in their own).
PLUS, we've expanded our Midway Of Mayhem, now twice the size with multiple new experiences and scenery!
In addition, we've created GHOST TOWN, a new and never before seen experience!
Finally, we've expanded and improved our Mangler attraction, now, Mangler 2.0!

What are you most excited about for the 2023 Halloween Season?

I am most excited about seeing our customers and fans reactions, once they realize how much we've expanded, changed and improved Lake Hickory Haunts 2023.

What differentiates Lake Hickory Haunts from other local haunts in North Carolina?

Lake Hickory Haunts circles a Lake with valleys and peaks... our layout and scenery definitely differentiate us from other haunts. However, we are also continuously working year after year to grow, improve, and expand our attractions... in order to create new and never before seen experiences to our guests and fans, year after year.

How long has Lake Hickory Haunts been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about Lake Hickory Haunts's history?

Lake Hickory Haunts has been open since 2012, this is our 12th Year of Fear!

What's your favorite experience since opening Lake Hickory Haunts?

My favorite experience is each Lake Hickory Haunts season, I'm always looking forward to what stories and experiences will come out of the upcoming season!

How long is a typical haunt experience at Lake Hickory Haunts from start to finish?

Approximately 50 minutes to an hour.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say Lake Hickory Haunts is? Why?

An 8-9. Here at Lake Hickory Haunts, we don't claim to be the scariest haunt, but the best and most entertaining haunt! We want everyone to have a great time filled with thrills, scares, and excitement... however, we don't aim to "over-scare" guests.

Does Lake Hickory Haunts's property have any real haunted history? Do you have a spooky encounter you'd like to share?

There are tales and stories, but nothing concrete!

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

Theming, immersion, acting, and creating new and never before seen experience!

How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance Lake Hickory Haunts?

Technology has really helped us bring our new attractions and sets to a totally different level this year... Especially in the ALL-NEW BIG TOP CIRCUS, Ghost Town, and Midway. You don't want to miss these experience!

Can Lake Hickory Haunts accommodate large groups? How many people can experience Lake Hickory Haunts together as a group?

If a large group would like to go through all together, they should check with a customer service team member upon arrival, to request to be grouped together. The typical group size at Lake Hickory Haunts is 6-10, depending on the date and time of your visit.
