Frightmore Academy: Wicked Winter
2115 Everetts Road, Williamston, NC 27892
Open: 12/13 & 12/14

Haunted Forest at Panic Point: Yuletide Nightmare
2808 Cedar Creek Road, Youngsville, NC 27596
Open: 12/13
During the dead of winter the ancients would celebrate the return of the sun by slaughtering corpulent livestock and feasting around the Yule. The quiet, peaceful, domesticated Christmas we all enjoy bears little resemblance to the callathumpian party that came before. Santa’s ancestors – Krampus, Belznickle, & Ded Moroz were all about delivering pain & sorrow equally to everyone, not just to the naughty. To that we say: “Ooooooooh Yeah! We’re doin’ this!”
In mid-December, when days are shortest, celebrate at Panic Point with Mad Mirth. You have a choice – stay home and sip on nog while Bing serenades you. How dreadfully booooring. Or…..OR….you can go to Panic Point and scream-laugh-scream all night long inside and outside of 3 of featured attractions:
THE HAUNTED FOREST: “Wicked Wonderland”. Take a casual stroll through The Forest, with its dozens of monsters and 12 unique locales, each with its own unique twist on the cold, dark, dismal days of winter. You’ll encounter Seasonal Specters, Evil Elves, and a variety Twisted Yuletide Characters as you trek the half-mile of holiday suffering.
THE DARK TRAIL – “Frostbite”: It’s the The Dark Trail in “Deep Freeze Mode”. On December 11th, 1962 a massive blizzard tore through Youngsville. Blistering winds lifted water off the slurry pond adjacent to the compound, dropping a snow so cold and contaminated that it poisoned, mutated, and finally froze the inhabitants in their tracks. Now, every December, those souls roam the area in search of warm mammalian flesh to free them from their semi-animated state.
KILLERS IN THE CORN “Triskaidekaphobia” – You may not start the evening off with the intense fear of the number 13, but the monsters inside are going to make sure you finish with it. The Drive-In is OPEN for a septuple feature of slaybell cinema. Everywhere you turn in the dying stalks, shadowy figures will emerge celebrate by slaughtering around the Yule.
THE MIDWAY: Grab a cocoa & snack from the concession stand, hang by the fire, and meet the characters roaming about the area. An unnecessarily surly Santa won’t charge you for a photo, but don’t expect him, or any of the other seasonal spectres to be happy about it! Merchandise will be on sale at a discount from the regular season.
The Haunted Pyramids: A Very Scary Christmas
2745 Toney Road, Lawndale, NC 28090
Open: 12/13 & 12/14
The Haunted Pyramids has Hollywood special effects, courtesy of Ray Bivins. Ray has worked with major motion pictures such as Children of the Corn II, Hellraiser III, Mall Cop, Talladega Nights and many others. Ray was the special effects coordinator on many of these movies. Come and check out some of the scary scenes he has designed for this year.
The Haunted Pyramids attractions all have some new designs and scares every year, and this holiday season, they'll be opening their 5 haunts and escape room for A Very Scary Christmas!

Pinhead's Graveyard's Axemas is going down like an Elf on Santa! Come out and celebrate the holiday season with your favorite people. They're way cooler than those distant relative parties where the one bad uncle gets drunk and kisses your sister then takes your mom home. They will also have pictures with Krampus! The mythical Bad Santa will once again be making a stop at the Graveyard that weekend to hand out his evil bag of goodies and take a few kiddies in the process. Mark your calendars and come out for the Holiday event of the season!
