New Hanover County Library - Real Wilmington Haunt

The New Hanover County Public Library in Wilmington is believed to be haunted by a woman's ghost. She used to be a patron of the library and her apparition has been spotted throughout the years. Witnesses have reported hearing phantom footsteps and books that move on their own. There is also believed to be another ghost at the library, a man who was believed to be killed in a duel. His home once stood where the library stands today.
