Have you been to Triangle's Train: New Hope Valley Railway? Then share photos of your experience!

The New Hope Valley Railway is The Triangle’s Train, an all volunteer operated railroad where children, parents, grandparents and others can enjoy a day together riding a train, learning about railroad history, watching the G Scale model garden railroad, visiting the outdoor North Carolina Railroad Museum and gift shop or viewing equipment in the railroad yard.


Track or Treat Halloween Express:
Trains generally operate one Saturday each month beginning in the spring through the end of the year. There are also special Halloween and Santa trains for the holidays.

From Rocky Mount, Greenville, Raleigh, and points EAST: Follow Interstate 40 west to US1. Follow US1 south to Exit 89, the Jordan Lake/New Hill exit. Turn right and go 1 mile to New Hill. Turn left onto Old US1 and go 2.5 miles south. Turn left onto Bonsal Road just before going under the railroad bridges. Parking is on your right. From Charlotte, Greensboro, Chapel Hill, Durham, and points WEST: Follow Interstate 40 east to NC 751. Follow NC751 south to US64. Cross US64, and continue south to New Hill. Turn right at New Hill onto Old US1. Turn left onto Bonsal Road just before going under the railroad bridges. Parking is on your right. From Hamlet, Sanford, and points SOUTH: Follow US1 north to Exit 84, the Old US1 exit. Turn left onto Old US1, and go 2 miles north towards Apex. After going under the two railroad bridges, turn right onto Bonsal road. Parking is on the right before you cross the tracks. From Richmond, Roanoke, and points NORTH: Follow Interstate 85 south to US1 south. Follow US1 south to exit 89, the Jordan Lake/New Hill exit. Turn right and go1 mile to New Hill. Turn left onto Old US1 and go 2.5 miles south. Turn left onto Bonsal Road just before going under the railroad bridges. Parking is on your right.
